About us
Virtual Receptionist Desk is a Philadelphia company. We build and operate AI phone receptionists for roofers, plumbers, HVAC techs, electricians and general contractors — and we answer for local-service businesses in 30 cities today.
Our team operates local-service websites in thirty cities across the country — gutter, roofing and sewer companies whose phones ring when a homeowner has a problem. We watched what happened to those calls when nobody could pick up: the caller didn't leave a voicemail. They called the next name on the list.
So we built the receptionist we needed: one that answers in the business's name, asks the questions an owner would ask, screens out the robocalls, and puts the job on the calendar. Then we made it available to every contractor who has the same problem.
We keep it simple on purpose. One price. No tiers. No contract. A real person on our team sets up every account, listens to the first calls, and adjusts the script until it sounds like your office. If something's wrong, you text us and we fix it.
We are not a call center, and we don't sell software you have to figure out on your own. We're operators. We run the phones for our own businesses with the same system we run for yours.
We're based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Most of the contractors we work with are in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; the receptionist itself works anywhere in the United States. Virtual Receptionist Desk is part of Jaigirdar Capital, a Pennsylvania company that owns and operates online businesses.
Abrar Jaigirdar, Founder. Philadelphia, PA.
Abrar started Virtual Receptionist Desk after building and running the thirty local-service sites whose calls it now answers. Before that he worked in software quality assurance — testing systems until they broke, then making sure they didn't. That's the standard the receptionist is held to.
It says only what you've approved. Otherwise it books the estimate.
It's your receptionist, and it says so. Anyone who asks for a person gets one.
Recording and summary after each one. Nothing happens on your phone that you can't listen to.
